ABERDEEN EMEGENCY HVAC ASSISTANCE

Our Aberdeen Emergency HVAC Repair Program is designed to provide support for qualifying homeowners in need of heating system repairs. To be eligible, your home must be an owner-occupied, single-family residence with income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

If you're currently enrolled in fuel assistance, we can connect you to GROW (605-698-7654) for free assistance. If you are not enrolled in fuel assistance, we can help determine if you qualify for the program. Please visit www.dss.sd.gov or call 211 for guidance on applying.

Required Documents for Repair Assistance:

• Completed application (including all adult residents) application attached. 
• Proof of homeownership (property tax notice or deed if not available on Beacon website)
• A copy of your current homeowner’s insurance
• Income documentation (recent pay stubs, Social Security award letter, or tax return)

Once your application is received and verified, you will be provided with a list of pre-approved heating specialists. It is important to confirm the heating specialist and appointment details with us before proceeding. If repairs are needed that exceed $500, please obtain approval for the work.

Our team will follow up with both the heating specialist to ensure the work is completed, and with the homeowner to review the status of the repair, discuss any additional needed maintenance, and explore further home repair needs. We’re here to help ensure your heating system runs smoothly, especially during the colder months.
